I have to say, of all the things in this world that irk me, futility is probably the top contender.

What is the point of investigating getting to know people if they have a tendency to vanish into thin air?

I guess it's always going to be uncertain, from now on. It happens so suddenly.

I am neither happy or unhappy. I'm merely annoyed by the lack of a discernible pattern in population waxing and waning. That is my only sorrow.

perhaps there is? have you tried keeping track of people comings and goings? perhaps there are certain times of the year where people come and go the most?

I have tried, as a matter of fact. I've noticed that while there is no real trend as to the type of person, they tend to come and go in clusters.
