"going nowhere much to fast..."
Reading Kat's recent post reminded me of something that happened this morning.
Conversation between my mother and I this morning, on the way to work:
Mom: That van over there has a Kerry sticker on it. I don't know why anyone would vote for him, he wouldn't know what to do. I don't know who I'll vote for in 2008, since Bush can't run anymore.
Me: *rolls eyes,bites lip*
Mom: You know, all these people get mad because we went over and all these people got killed in Iraq. They shouldn't have come over and bombed us!
Me: Iraq did not bomb us. Bin Laden, in Afghanistan...that's who was behind 9/11...the planes hitting the WTC.
Mom: Well, they must all be hiding in Iraq.
Me: *head in hands*

I'm not making this up people. I'm embarrassed that this is my biological mother saying this stuff. I want to laugh, but it's just so sad I can't. Opinions like hers above? This is why Bush was re-elected.
Disturbing is an understatement.
