Shinou has had to do much thinking since his conversations with Murata and with Lestat. He ponders the new situation and can be found now reclined in a chair. He looks vaguely troubled, even if his actual way of sitting seems to be relaxed.

He pauses in the doorway, noticing the strain, not his usual unobservant self. He gives a small smile and makes his way across the room. "Hello Shinou" he says as he approaches.

He smiles kindly at him, almost in a fatherly way. "The Maou... Yuuri. How have you been?"

[demon_yuuri]

He gives a little shrug "Not bad, how about you?"

[originalking]

"Things could be worse, I'm sure." The answer is rather purposefully ambiguous.

[demon_yuuri]

He tilts his head "But they could be better?" he stands awkwardly, shifting on his feet.

[originalking]

"Wouldn't you also say that in your own life things could be better? Most are never quite perfectly satisfied..." he notices the fidgeting and waves his hand toward a chair. "Please go ahead and sit down."

[demon_yuuri]

"Er, I suppose so" he admits, the presence of Shinou never failing to make him feel ridiculous. He takes a seat, again awkwardly.

"Is something making you uncomfortable?" He watches Yuuri with a possibly intimidating stare but his manner is friendly.

[demon_yuuri]

"Er" he replies, intelligently. "Not as such.."

[originalking]

He chuckles a little. "You're not.. afraid of me, are you?"

[demon_yuuri]

"..... Whatever gave you that idea?" he chuckles nervously.

[originalking]

"Your manner gives you away..." He says. He sounds more amused than angry. "You have no need to be either afraid of me nor uncomfortable in my presence. It is I who should be bowing to you, after all."

[demon_yuuri]

He sighs, sagging. "That just doesn't
seem right. You're the original king! If it weren't for you, I'd probably never have even known about Shin Makoku!"

[originalking]

"Your modesty is one of your assets," he says simply. "I may be the first but you are still the greater."

He holds up a hand as if expecting some protest. "You may not think so now but in time... it is sure to be more apparent."

[demon_yuuri]

The protest was definately coming, but he can't argue with the last statement, he has no idea what's going to happen in the future. "Hmph, well, as long as you don't start acting all weird.." he's had enough of people treating him like royalty, even if he does happen to inhabit that social strata.

"Weird in what way?" He's going to treat him with respect no matter what Yuuri says, but he's never been one to like being overly formal - for too long anyway.
