Ch. 6 - Scales and wings are such a drag for Jack of Fables

[Jack is getting restless now. It's been nearly a month since he was turned into this big hulking beast and frankly? It's getting pretty damn old. Each day he has to roll in his gold a little longer to make himself feel better and he's less and less inclined to leave his gold behind. That damn pirate is going to try and find it, he just knows it.

[Edward had been working on his projects in the smithy, but the noise couldn't conceal the crashing noise - or the shake - of the sudden damage to the building next door. So he hurries out to see what's going on, only to find... a dragon.

A dragon, really!?

[... Yeah, Jack notices it after a bit, then frowns.]

Clarawhatnows? [That totally went over his head. The great dragon comment is nice. Kind of. Still doesn't make him feel much better about being one.]

Claridian. Great beasts with the ability to speak, who possess incredible powers. [Not one of those, then.] They're creatures that are greatly revered on my world.

[dragonjack]

Yeah, well I'm great, but I'm not usually so much the beastly type.

[vermified]

You're not? Were you changed by the Malnosso?

[dragonjack]

Hell if I know. Gonna pin that down to a 'probably' for now.

It wasn't during a kidnapping, then?

[Though it would probably be awkward to change someone into a dragon in the Malnosso prisons.]

[dragonjack]

Never been kidnapped. At least, not here anyway. [There was that ONE time involving those twins where it got kind of kinky...]

That's very strange. Most people are left unaffected unless it's a kidnapping or an experiment. How long have you been this way?

[dragonjack]

Not sure. What day is it?

It's... a Friday. The 20th, I believe. [Is it easy to lose track as a dragon?]

[dragonjack]

Really? Okay, almost a month, then.

[vermified]

A month!? That's quite long for an effect caused by them... [Suddenly the idea of turning into a dragon is not so cool.]
