A general dearth of anything interesting to say...

Trotted along to Helen & Tembu's Music marathon on Saturday. It was all in aid of their church organ. Highlights included their version of the famous duet from Phantom of the Opera, and Tembu doing Flanders & Swann. Only intended to be there overnight, but wound up staying to lunch the following day, and hanging around with Kate & Simon and muttering about films and Munchkin and blasphemous cartoons and things.

Feline of Evil Oozing still has an abscess at the base of her tail. This is annoying, not the least cos she just tried to sit on me and leak clear gunk on me. We took her to the vet last week and he shaved some of the fur away, which the first vet didn't do, which confused me, since surely this would have been the logical and obvious thing to do. He also squeezed it a lot, and surprisingly, the Mog did nothing. She's looking a lot better now, though, and has managed to avoid having it debreded (sp?) surgically.

Car has failed MOT on brake pads, but nothing else, which is good in that it's cheap.

Still no news on transfers yet. Cursewitches.

Smote players a bit tonight. Fudged the damage roll which would have blown all of them to itty bitty pieces, cos it would've been a bit unfair. And time-consuming to go through all the character-gen again. Commuted instant death to serious fuckloads of damage, which has set them back to square one again. That'll teach 'em to be foolishly heroic. And they were doing so well right up to then. Sudden attacks of conscience make people do such weird things.

In other news: looking forward to Disturbed on 25th. Wish Barrowlands and the like would go back to publishing support details on tickets.
New Therapy? album soon, which hopefully means tour soon too...
Am stuck in Jared Diamond's Collapse, in the first chapter, which is all about Montana. Now, my knowledge of Montana is limited to it a being a good place to grow dental floss, so this is less than interesting. But, I'm assured it's necessary scene-setting.
Ghenghis Khan: Life, Death and Resurrection is much more absorbing. Cos you don't think of Mongol hordes and seige engines. But apparently, yes, you should.
