Same Old

I have returned to same old Connecticut without anything drastic happening.

In other news, I locked up all my visa paperwork into a storage bin back in Madison. Yeah, that was superb of me, I'm usually more organized then this. What concerns me is the French Embassy website says a long stay visa takes 2 months to process. Hm. Predicament. However, I don't think that anyone else in my group has applied yet so either we're all in trouble or I'm okay, I think it's the latter. Also wonderful is last night I had a nightmare that my plane crashed on the way to France in a fiery inferno. Yeah, as if I wasn't already way uneasy about flying. And the lack of steady income and dwindling savings account while the Euro is so strong is very disheartening. Here's to hoping I get the PA/IC job. I feel I left when great things were just begininning and for that I say boo hiss.

In good news, I love veggin' with my brother and the dog. Isaiah and I have been playing cruise ship tycoon together and our fleet of cruise ships have become very industrious.

And in even more good news Jenny-Jingbah and Elise are coming to visit me in Paris for sure as their plane tickets have been purchase. Oh that makes me so happy that I'll see a couple of familiar faces, they have no idea! And not only that, since spring break is in March and I don't start until February 28th then I won't have long to wait, and I'll probably be going through heavy culture shock at that point. Cristina and I did make some awesome buttons to help battle the Anti-American sentiment that is going on there, they said such things as "Je Deteste Bush" I guess anti-Americanism is so bad there Americans have been wearing Canadian emblems but I absolutely refuse. I may be ashamed of Bush, his cronies, and 52% of the country for buying into this phoney bologne, but I'm not ashamed of my country and the ideals it was built upon. None of the countries in the world doesn't have some dark things in their past. Hopefully this will sate the badgering I'm going to get from the Parisians.

I have started to read the Anne of Avonlea books about 10 years belated. I got the entire set (all the way to Rilla of Ingleside) as a gift from my late day care provider who was one of those special people in my life. I thought, hey, why not pick up these books that have taken up a good chunk of my shelf space. Surprisingly, I find them quite amusing and this is saying something because I tend to like more modern mid-20th century literature or historical fiction. I think that I love it so much because I loved watching the made for TV version by the Disney Channel and then the Chronicles of Avonlea. I still have fond memories of my dad and I watching Avonlea together on Thursday (I think) nights.

Yup, so I'm pretty bored here, but it's a really nice and relaxing sort of bored. I have never had so much time off since being 15. I always work during break but work is pretty sparse right now. I like it though, for the most part, and hopefully I'll become productive. I'm thinking about starting to write again. I hope this summer some people will visit me if possible. Spare me from my permanent boredome. All you'll have to pay for is the plane ticket and general cash, otherwise you get free room and board.

For sure, tonight, I'll be sleeping with my mittens and snow cap on and Anne of the Island snuggled in my hand. Yes, Jenny, you know what I'm talking about. And no, everyone else, that's not meant to be sexual in any way... just adorable.

ZING ZING ZINGBAH... and out.
