awdt's Christmas Quickies prompts "leather" & "icicle". Part 11 of an untitled series which chronicles December 2010 with Harry & Draco.
“Draco, have you seen my jacket?” Harry called up the stairs. For the last twenty minutes he’d been searching the downstairs closet for his favourite jacket and so far he had come up empty. “Which one?” Draco called back down.
Huffing Harry stamped up the stairs to check the bedroom. “The leather one I got in Paris two years ago!” Draco stuck his head around the corner of the bathroom door and shook his head before disappearing, “No, I haven’t seen it since you wore it when we went to Florean’s a few weeks back.”
Groaning Harry sat heavily on the edge of the bed and dropped his head into his hands. “Just wear another one, Harry. You’re only going to the store after all.” Harry bit back the childish retort that was burning the tip of his tongue. He wanted the leather one, it was comfy and he was pretty sure he’d left the receipt for one of Draco’s presents in the pocket.
Draco’s sock clad feet slowly came into view, Harry’s eyes drifting slowly up the pale and rather naked calves, over Draco’s knobbly knees and rather delicious thighs. Draco was currently wearing one of Harry’s pairs of shorts and- “That’s my bloody jacket!” Harry shouted. The smile on Draco’s face was gentle, his hair loose around his chin framing it perfectly. Raising one perfectly groomed eyebrow Draco stalked a little closer, his hips swaying gently from side to side before he peeled open the two halves of the jacket to reveal his very naked torso.
“I was hoping that I could convince you to stay in,” Draco said softly before closing the jacket and effectively hiding his body from Harry. Licking his lips Harry reached out a hand to Draco, dragging him closer when Draco’s fingers closed around him. “You know all you had to do was ask?” Harry asked before pulling Draco into his lap. Draco straddled Harry’s thighs and gently cupped Harry’s jaw between both hands. “I would have but we needed bread and milk.” Softly Draco kissed Harry before sighing softly, “I’m sure Mum will send over a house elf with some bread and milk.”
The last three days had been spent the same way. One or both of them had attempted to leave the house for something essential but before they could cross the threshold they had both ended up back in bed for some reason or another. “I’d rather you stayed inside,” Draco continued while peppering Harry’s face and neck with kisses. “I don’t want you being killed by melting icicles or freezing to death in a freak blizzard.”
Harry laughed before recapturing Draco’s lips. After kissing sweetly for a few minutes Harry gently broke the kiss and pressed his forehead against Draco’s. “You do realise we live in central London and it hasn’t snowed in over a week, right?” Pouting Draco slowly made to move from Harry’s thighs. Clamping his hands down on Draco’s legs Harry shook his head. “You can Floo your Mum later and beg for milk for your tea.”
Resuming his assault of Draco’s neck with his Harry grinned before lightly nipping the column Draco’s throat. “But you do know we will need to leave the bedroom tomorrow, right?” Harry asked, his fingertips lightly kneading Draco’s lower back when he tensed. “Why?” Softly Harry kissed Draco until he relaxed enough for Harry to continue. “Dromeda’s dropping Teddy off at nine so we can spend the day with him.”
Draco unexpectedly dropped his head to rest on Harry’s shoulder, a slow bitter laugh erupting from his lips. “First you mention my Mum, then my Aunt and then the kid. You sure do know how to thoroughly kill the mood, Harry.” Climbing off of Harry’s lap Draco slid Harry’s jacket from his body and passed it back to Harry who stared confusedly at his boyfriend. “The least you can do is go and get the bread and milk and you can buy me some mint dark chocolate truffles to make up for your egregious error!”
Standing up Harry shrugged his jacket on and pulled Draco into a bruising kiss. “I’ll buy you the chocolates if you’ll eat them off of me,” Harry whispered into Draco’s ear before walking out of the door and down the stairs. He paused only momentarily to readjust his trousers and then shook his head fondly before Apparating to Diagon Alley.
