Just give me the word

This may well be the slowest post ever, but I'm not typing it! Have spent several hours training my new software to recognise my voice by reading it extracts from, amongst other things, The Wizard of Oz and a strange philosophical treatise on why a table may not appear to be a table, or something. And now I can talk to the computer and it types for me, and it doesn't count as talking to myself, honest! Takes ages though, because unfortunately the computer can read my voice but not my mind and keeps making mistakes with where it puts the spaces and things and coming up with ludicrous interpretations of what I've said. But hey, it saves me doing it. My elbows don't actually hurt too much today, but I'm being careful anyway because not being able to do anything at all drove me mad and I've learnt my lesson. Going to the doctors this afternoon as well, just to see if there's anything else I can do so that this doesn't get in the way of work again.

Have had quite a good week apart from the elbows though. Yesterday was good, tour guiding not requiring the use of my elbows. Amy came for dinner as well, which was nice. Saves the CSI episodes, anyway. And I'm invited to their house (Amy and Graham's) for Sunday lunch, which I'm greatly looking forward to. Might even be able to use it as an incentive to do some Writing Project work, since I haven't done any for a week now and there's still a thousand words to do for a week tomorrow, elbows or no elbows. Dictating poetry to a computer that's plainly read a different dictionary to mine... ah, fun!

nights in, friends, visit days, writing project, elbows, computer
