Leftovers

Christmas was exceedingly yummy, and I got lots of lovely things from people who seemed to like what I got them. All is good. And if anyone in the Aber vicinity wants some mulled wine, there's rather a lot left...

Only 6 sleeps till my dad comes to pick me up now! Had the second-to-last seminar of the term this morning (possibly the last one, because I might well not go to Thursday's) - it was a select bunch of us, but probably one of the best seminars we've had because it meant we could discuss things in more detail. The poem I wrote seemed to go down well. Will post it at the_aber_years when I've finished writing this. It seems strange that it's so close to the end of term, because I've still got so much stuff left to do - have finished the commentary for the Place portfolio today, and will do most of the bibliography in a bit, but I've still got all of the Interventions portfolio to put together, and I want it to be good to make up for the disappointing mark on the last one. And there's still bits of Christmas shopping left to do, because I'm not braving the last-week-before-Christmas crowds in Nottingham next week. Just not going to happen. But there's good stuff to look forward to as well - Kath and Joy's Christmas dinner is on Thursday, and I can get rid of the portfolios on Friday, and Amy and I are hopefully going to the cinema on Saturday night to revel in the trashiness of The Devil Wears Prada. And Dad's coming on Sunday! :)
