My take:
I was glad to receive this item as I really needed a nude color lip gloss! I normally buy high end stuff so really didnt expect too much from a drugstore product like NYC.
However, this is a very good product for the money. The color itself is quite sheer especially if one has pigmented lips like me. That saying, I strongly suggest using this atop another lip color (preferably a nude lipstick if you are wanting that nude lipcolor like me) for glossy look. It definitely is shiney, glossy. It has shimmer but is very fine and not gritty. It isnt sticky compared to loreal or lancome lipglosses in the tube (which i think to be the most stickiest in the market). It stays on the lips for few hours (say less than 2 hours) if you arent eating/drinking or talking much.
The key to using this is not to overuse it: a little goes a long way b/c of the ultra-shininess imparted by the product. Just apply on middle of lips if you have full lips and it will give plump-up look.
