He was Silent

But yet you could see the sorrow in his eyes. With every smile, every laugh that he made, inside him cringed in pain.
It hurt for him to remember, to recall the purpose of his being here.

He hardly cried. But you knew that it hurt him to even glance at those photographs of him and Matsuo Hideki, his father. The memories of that night flashed past his mind over and over again, as he smiled at the camera. Matsuo Shienu sighed and put down the camera. Looking into her screen, she saw the glimpses of pain within every picture.

"Look here, honey. "
"I am."
She looked at him again. His eyes were staring straight at her, but his mind was clouded with thoughts.
"What's wrong?"

"If I told you nothing was wrong, you wouldn't believe me." He replied.
Shienu smiled at her son. He knew her all too well.

He got up and looked at Shienu. "It's nothing I can't handle, really." His eyelids slid shut for a moment, then opened again.
She barely heard his last statement, but he said it alright.

"I'll get over it."
