I really loved this section. A lot of great humor as well as a surprising and amazing conversation between Claude and Nathan. I really like the relationship you've set up between them -- Nathan and Claude can both speak to Peter's character and quirks since they both know him so well. Let's see, some favorite lines/moments:

Nathan’s fork froze halfway to his mouth. Peter kicked his brother under the table and Claude couldn’t help but wonder what stray thought had earned Nathan that.
LOL, I love this for some reason.

“Looks like it,” Claude said. “I’ll do what I can to survive this precious family reunion. You…do whatever it is you do when others aren’t around. Dust the furniture in pearls and high heels or whatever.”

“I’m just…You know? Never mind. I’ll call you if anything comes up.”
AAHAHAHA. Matt's reaction is priceless.

“I don’t know Parkman, but I wouldn’t exactly call Suresh ‘resolutely heterosexual,’” Nathan commented. “When I first agreed to let Peter live with him, I thought it was only a matter of time before those two ended up in bed together.”
Hee! Heeheeheehee...

“That was a joke.”

“Oh,” Claude said. One side of his mouth twitched but he refused to smile as he saw the subtle genius of that.
Aww, see Claude, Nathan isn't as bad as you think! Your two's senses of humor cross paths every now and then. :)

“Peter would stick up for me if I had my finger on the button to start World War III,” Nathan said.

“True,” Claude replied.
It's funny because it's true. And I love that both Nathan and Claude can recognize that.

Wow, thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the new chapter, especially the conversation between Nathan and Claude (which took a far more understanding tone than I was expecting when I originally wrote it, I have to say) and all those lines you cited above!

It's interesting you mentioned Nathan's line about Peter defending him even if he had his hand on the button to start World War III. That was actually a last minute change...originally, that whole line belonged to Claude and Nathan just kind of grunted in response. I wasn't sure how it would come off, giving that bit of dialogue to Nathan instead, so I'm pleased that you think it was a successful change. :)

Thanks so much for your great comments! Part Six should be up by the end of the week--hope to see you there!
