Pick an object close to you. Describe it to someone as if they were blind.
The stiff air is gently ushered away with a twist and a twirl. Your head spins and spins, intoxicatingly. I wonder, will you stop? But don't stop, relief is washed over me. I want to touch you, but I fear that there's a gate that separates me from you. Your gate feels cold. But, it's for my own protection. If I reached out, I would feel pain. So you spin, locked like a bird in a cage. I wonder how it feels. Is it lonely? Don't worry. I'll keep you company.

Post-it notes
She walked into her apartment, exhausted from another demanding day at work. While slipping off her shoes, she noticed a piece of paper adhered to her wall. In a messy scrawl, it read "look for flowers". Her eyes wandered around her small apartment before settling on a neon square of paper attached to a bouquet of roses. The paper read "Happy Anniversary, sweetheart."

When winter comes...
When winter comes, Mother Nature decides to take a break from all her child rearing responsibilities. She neglects to dress the trees; their leafy garments lose their luster, get dirty, and fall off. In her idleness she forgets to feed her children. Some are smart and had saved enough food to survive their silly mother's absentminded, but others decide to go into a death-like slumber to ward off their hunger. When her children protest, she lashes out in anger, screaming that she needs a vacation and showers her children with angry tears frozen by her icy breath.
The children learn that in due time, their mother will have enough time to herself and embrace them in loving arms. They patiently await Mother Nature's love when spring comes around.

Last night I dreamt...
Where am I? How did I get here? Why is it dark? Why is that when I look down, I don't see anything? Am I floating? Oops, I tilted too far forward.. can I fall when it everything around me is black? Am I really falling relative to my surroundings? Here I go...
Gasp. Why does my chest hurt when I fell into an abyss? Was it really a dream?

Trick or treat
Halloween. How did Halloween evolve into a holiday where kids are allowed to eat sweets and girls are allowed to dress like sluts?
