Yeah, M got a car for his birthday. :-)
Well, the Saturn was dying, and we just got another nasty bit of news about needing another thousand or so of work on it, which basically totaled the thing. And this weekend really showed us, what with the weather and the hassle of trying to take public transit across the river, that one really does need a car for certain things.
So we bought a damned 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit. It's cute. Dark blue, two doors, peppy, fun, and only 20,000 or so miles on it. Good car. Excellent deal for it. Had to drive to Vancouver, and spent four hours at the dealership looking, test driving, and dealing with paperwork, but now we have a damned Volkswagen Rabbit, and the Saturn is the dealer's problem now.
