i'm sitting here listening to Erik Satie...
I am a seer so it's my responsibility/desire to show what i see, right? I will need to be creative in demonstration so that the picture will be clear for others. When you draw you put down a line on the paper, unashamedly and sans analysis. Then you carve out space around that line slowly defining the subject. More lines and lines upon lines. Like Michaelangelo's description of sculpture, deleting the surrounding rock until the body is uncovered, you have to follow the form that already exists and discover it.
That's how i want to live: discovering the body that was there all the time. I just have to carve away everything that obscures my view. That is the only way.
