father's day
so today's fathers day. i still havent given my dad his present. it's a book of golf jokes. wow.
we went to church and then the beach, which was fun but sandy. we set up our stuff (blanket, food, ipod, digital camera, cell phone, geraldine's glasses, umbrella) safely away from the water, but mom warned us that the tide would come in. so of course, it does. the first time it gets pretty close to the edge of our blanket so, while taking a bite of my burger, i lept to my ipod and grabbed it. later a huge wave made the tide come in and brought our sandals, geraldine's classes, our clothes, and my book out to sea. so we're running around frantically trying to get everything and search for geraldine's glasses, which we found covered in sand. thanks god i moved my ipod beforehand. then mom and geraldine baked themselves and i went swimming, but it was really boring cuz ther were no more waves and the water was like glass, so i got out pretty soon. came back and had a shower.
