So we had to do and asignment for computer lit where we type 3 paragraphs about the difference between our school and this other school and then do all kinds of screwy stuff to the font. The teacher said it didnt have to be true. I have no idea about the schools, so I proceeded to make alot of shit up.

It turned out like this:

A work of fiction

Seeing that I just moved to Lakeland, I have virtually no idea of the differences between Lakeland High School and KATHLEEN HIGH SCHOOL. I will now make some up. Lakeland high is a semi-utopian land of wonder, while Kathleen high is the equivalent of a dumpster. When you announce to a group that you are a student at Lakeland high, you are greeted with applause and the possibility of being hoisted onto the shoulders of your company and sung praises to. But sadly when someone announces they go to Kathleen high they are pointed and laughed at, and if the surrounding group has food products on them the unfortunate Kathleen student will have it chucked at them.

Some other obvious differences in Lakeland High and Kathleen high are; Lakeland is the name of the city in which we live, making it a reasonable name for the public school, where as Kathleen is the name of a fat girl in my 4th grade class. Kathleen is a silly name for a school. Lakeland has the mascot of the dreadnaught which is a symbol of strength, where Kathleen has the mascot of the teensy-fly, a small and generally helpless animal, which is extremely discouraging for the sports teams.

Having only attended Lakeland high school for a semester I have learned things that all high school students strive to learn, such as advanced calculus, the proper way to right a thesis, and of sores how to type 45 words per minute. At Kathleen the students are still working on how to tie their shoelaces, a skill that took me about a week to conquer some 13 years ago. Being a student at the wonderful institution of Lakeland high I can hold my head up and say, “Hi, my name is Thia, I just moved here and I am proud to be a dreadnaught”. I feel bad for my fellow refugee friends who got a second blow by being sent to Kathleen after the hurricane.
