Homework Diary/Planner -
At most schools in England (including my own), we are all given a Homework Diary each (We just call them "Planners" though), where we write down all the homework given on each day. They are so useful and I wouldn't be able to survive if I didn't have mine. So I got thinking and thought that students who go to school in America (or any other country for that matter) might not be given anything like a planner. So, seeing as it's the holidays and i've nothing else to do, I thought i'd make one in word for you lot to download and print off (for you if you're still in school or your kids if not). Basically, it's a .pdf document with each day of the week and space to write down homework and then space to write notes underneath each day E.g. Go to library and return book on history. Then at the bottom it has a space for writing down any letters that need to go home and under that a section for writing notes. There's a space for the date at the top too. You can print one off each week, staple the two pages together, write the date at the top and pop it in your school bag ready for school on Monday. Screenshots:

Your favourite, simple organising tip -
This morning I woke up and found myself surrounded by junk. I'd got paper, magazines, make-up etc. all over the floor; my dressing table was covered in make-up and generally junk and although I don't have that many clothes, I'd shoved so much junk in my wardrobe my clothes couldn't actually fit in it any more without a fight. Then this morning my mum told me "Mel, make sure your room is tidy 'cause grandma and grandad are coming down this morning to clean the house" (My grandparents have been coming down every month since my mum got M.E./chronic fatigue and she couldn't/can't clean the house herself). I suddenly realised that my room is a complete scrapyard, so I spent all of this morning organising it (I just didn't let my grandparents come in my room and I hovered it myself later).
Anyways, I started at my wardrobe because it's a good a place as any to start. Just before I start, my wardrobe has two doors which when opened reveal the section I use to hang my nearly all of my clothes, and then underneath there are three wide drawers in which I fold up clothes that I don't wear right now (e.g. in summer, all my jumpers and trousers go in there etc). In the top drawer I keep all my underwear, and the problem was that I was wasting a whole large drawer, when I could fit them all in a much smaller drawer. But, unfortunately I don't have any smaller drawers in which I can move them to. I left it for a little while and looked to see if I could find a solution in the memories in this community, and one tip was "Keep underwear in a shoebox" (or words to that effect) so I thought "That's a good idea" so I went off, got myself an empty shoebox and sorted them all out. This left me with over half a drawer to use more efficiently by putting clothes in it.
This whole thing got me thinking that a shoebox is such a simple little tip but it saved me loads of time trying to shove my clothes into two drawers and saved me load of space in my drawers. So I thought i'd ask, is there any little organising tip(s) that someone gave you or that you found on the internet that really simple but saves you loads of time/space/hastle/whatever? What is the best "Little tip" you've ever been given?
