Hi everyone! Just joined your wonderful community!
marah, are you a professional closet organizer/consultant? How do you get trained for that?
One place I'm extremely organized is in personal contacts. I keep people's names, numbers, emails, addresses, and birthdays regularly updated online, with little notes about who they are. (I don't need a Palm Pilot.) Whenever I go to a party, classroom, business event, dinner, etc. I always get the contact info and numbers of people I find interesting, by the end of the night. I enter them in my list immediately. When people change, I change my list immediately. Since I have at least 200 people on my list and keep meeting new ones, I must be organized.
Periodically, I either print out my full list or save it on my computer.
When I travel someplace new, I always look at the map first. I keep all regional AAA maps for the whole Bay Area in my car. Not only do I look at the map before driving, I draw a barebones version of my route on a sheet of paper, with arrows, and I keep in on my passenger seat when I drive. I don't depend on Yahoo Maps. I draw a brief map MYSELF.
This helps me almost never get lost.
Unfortunately, I'm not as organized in other parts of my life. :p
