My Parents are off to Renmark today to attend another funeral. It will be the 6th funeral they have been to in 5 weeks, far too much death to deal with comfortably all at once.
Included in these six deaths was the death of my maternal Grandfather, several neighbours that my Dad has known for over 45 years and some close family friends.
The ideal announcement now would be that of a new baby on the way, a promise of new life to remind us all of the eternal circle, but alas no such announcement is being made yet.
Last night we went to my friend Sharon's new theatre production "A Night On Broadway" and the energy of the dynamic live performance certainly served to lift our hearts. As usual Sharon has done a magnificent job of choreography and costume design, and each piece in this conglomerate of favourite Broadway songs was a perfect excerpt from it's Broadway musical, and served to display many of her amazing talents in one very exciting show.
Sharon's Theatre Production Company is called "Swamp Fairy", and Danny Boy is proudly wearing his Swamp Fairy t-shirt to school today, as part of his show and tell presentation.
I wish I was looking forward to a quiet weekend, but things never stop around here, and it would seem that I have a full schedule again. Steve is coming to finish off building in my bedroom tomorrow, leaving only the paintwork to be completed and the fumes to wear off a bit, and I will finally be able to move into my own bedroom. Funny to think of having your own bedroom as the highest luxury in our society, but after two and a half months of renovations I really look forward to moving into my own space, nearly as much as Danny is looking forward to getting me out of his bedroom!
