Happenings

I went to see CATS! last night at the Fox. And you know what? It was damn good. This was certainly in part due to our totally excellent 4th row seats. The costumes were excellent, and I found it very amusing to watch people act like cats for two hours. I never did figure out what excactly a "jellicle" cat was though; they were not very clear on that aspect. Also I thought that Gizzabella the glamour cat was a poor choice to ride the weird UFO thing to the "heavenside layer" because she was pretty old and ratty, and all the other cats didn't much like her. Plus they never really told her story, other than she used to be hot shit back in the day. I think Skimbleshanks the railway cat had the best song, so I was hoping they would pick him. Or even Gus the theatre cat because his story about being an actor was well told. Anyway, it's worth seeing.

I had school today and the result is me being extremely tired. This semester is going to be rough. I have to work ten hour days 3 days a week and go to school about ten hours the other two days. Basically I relate this to working 50 hours a week now, with mandatory hours done from home, no overtime hours, and making about 3/4ths the pay.

Most of my classes seem alright, except for my world literature class. The class is being taught by a short (maybe 4 ft. tall), fat (at least 300 lbs.), black woman (the natural enemy of the white male), who is hard of hearing. The theme of the class is how women's sexuality is portrayed in urban enviroments throughout history. In short this is a "Sex in the City" themed literature class. I am afraid I am going to disagree myself into a poor grade with haste. Although if I was able to put up with the anoxeric man-hating woman at tech, I can probably handle this.

In any case, it is now time to transform myself into the human alcohol garbage disposal I was born to be. This entails the last of a bottle of white wine, peach vodka, and 2 glasses of red wine.
