This was an extremely exhausting move in so many ways. Three days carrying heavy objects and cleaning will wear one out quickly. As I was cleaning my old house, I realized that we probably paid quite a bit too much for it. At least its finished (for the most part) and I can start unpacking/throwing things out. Much thanks to those who helped the move!
Already I feel like things are going better for me. I woke up in a fucking fantastic mood which was only slightly dulled by the knowledge I had to work. It amazes me how something as simple as a change of scenery can effect my state of mind. Whatever the case, I am certainly enjoying it. It's definately a change of pace to want to go home and clean my house.
I have been considering becoming a vegetarian. I've toyed with this before, and gone several days to a week or so without eating meat, but always my failing was laziness. I'm not some kind of meat junky that has to get a fix, I can easily go without it. But again, I always end up eating meat because its so easy. Getting a package of ham or turkey and some bread is food for a week. I don't know what the vegetarian equivalent to that is, but I think that living literally right next door to Kroger is something that could be helpful as far as finding non-meat food readily. Also, I know nothing of vegetarian recipes. I ask the vegetarian readers of my journal, can you recommend a good website/cookbook for this?
Now I'm headed home to my old place to take out the trash and finish some last minute cleaning so my landlord can look the place over tomorrow and hopefully give us our deposit back post haste.
Update: I just ordered this:
