luvsev Sometimes it's okay to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.
Placed under an LJ-cut to spare your f-lists.
I Look At You: Two people describe their thoughts whilst looking at each other from a distance.
This was the first fic I've ever posted. I wrote, very briefly, the story behind this little ficlet, which you may read
here.
Lily's Treasure Box: Arthur Weasley delivers a mysterious wooden box to Harry. Whose box is it, and what treasures are contained therein?
This was the second fic I've ever posted. This one came to me as I was working on a scene from a SS/HG multi-chaptered story I'm currently working on. I'd like to think that Lily would have saved significant items from her life, as well as that of her son. I know my mum saved all sorts of things and placed them in a baby book. It's pretty neat looking at my old cards, baby pictures, and other items my mum saved for me as I was growing up.
The Breeding Dementors: Amidst a heavy London fog, a pair of newly-bred Dementors find a pair of unwilling victims.
This was my first Saturday Night ficlet I wrote. I guess it made enough of an impression to have been selected as one of the featured stories over at
The Petulant Poetess for February 2009.
Fluffy Animagus: Harry, Hermione, and Ron reveal their Animagi to Professor McGonagall.
Poor Ron.
apollinav came up with a great prompt to this, and I had a lot of fun writing this piece.
The last one is a bit difficult for me to choose. But I think I will go with the last drabble I've written to date. (Yes, it's a true drabble as it contains exactly 100 words.)
Reflections: Severus takes a moment to reflect on his life.
This was the answer to a great prompt by
geminiscorp, who gave the link to a wonderful portrayal of Severus Snape, which you may see
here. It's short, but I felt quite inspired by this wonderful piece.
I don't like tagging others, so consider yourself tagged when you read this.
