Can I just add that I truly do have the best friends in the world....
I am off work today, feeling ill and there was a knock at the door and a postman with a giant amazon box with my name on it.
but i havent ordered anything.
now last time this happened, i opened it and inside was a webcam from graham and henri so i could talk to them, even though graham doesnt come home much anymore.
so i was a bit bemused, cos that was a christmas present last year. but its not christmas and my brithday passed.
so i ripped it all opened to find A LEGO CITY ADVENT CALENDAR.
which comprises of an advent calendar with different legos behind each door, so you end up with a little city by christmas!!!!!
and the invoice-y thing just said "to amy, love from henri and graham xx"

i know friendship isn't about what you buy. but it's thought behind the things people buy that makes me smile so much.
gray made me a framed picture of us in france on my birthday, and kelly bought a beautiful glass necklace that she knew i would love, and aaron and big ted and soph and dave and the "teach yourself colloquial hebrew" set. its like... my friends know me so well and they know that i will love these things. and that makes me all warm inside.
i can imagine henri finding this lego calendar on amazon and showing graham and them thinking "amy would *love* this"... :)
so really... meeting a nice man would be nice. dont get me wrong there, but being the perpetually single friend, its fine. because the people i get to be that person to, are the best people ever.
