So to comment on the earthshake:
Yes, it was scary, particularly cuz it never happens here and most no one around here has experienced it before. No, in the grand scheme of things it was nothing to worry about.
The reactions to how everyone posted to Twitter immediately are pretty funny. But what I find more interesting is: how is Twitter able to cope with sudden large bursts of information on their communications infrastructure, when cell phone networks and major government sites are not? And then, how do we change things so that that won't be the case next time something happens?
