Graduating...

Apr 20, 2009 14:19

Holy shit.  It really did go by fast.

I am completely done with classes/finals as of May, WOoooo!  Graduating w/ high honors... I think I get one of those sashes that hangs around your neck, which looks kina gay, but at least my parents will be proud when they look at my dorky picture that will be hanging in the living room.

National Grid has given me an analyst position offer, but I'm holding out to see if the communications position I want w/in the company gives me a chance.  Having options is always nice.

Stephan and I purchased tix to Europe and India.  We'll be touring the EU from June 5-June 30 and India from July 1- July 12.
EU: Paris & Corsica: France, Athens: Greece, Amsterdam: Netherlands, Barcelona: Spain, Florence & Amalfi Coast: Italy.
India: Mumbai, Delhi, Himalayas

How am I paying for this?  Initially I was going to take out a personal loan, but good fortune came my way at the right time.  My Gram left me a  bond, which she took out in my name when I was born and it has accrued nicely in the past 22 yrs.  For my graduation gift my parents gave me a GPS and said I was exempt from all debt I owed them (around $8,000)  Ballin'.

Regardless of the position I take at National Grid, I start as a full-timer July 15 if I sign the papers.

I'll be living in Brighton w/ Stephan for half of July and all of August, and move into my apt in Brookline in Sept.

May 1-4 I'll be in Myrtle Beach w/ my Mum and sister and one weekend in NYC visiting Caitlin, but I pretty much have all nights and weekends in May to hang out, so if you're around we're going to chill together.

!! Seeing Of Montreal tonight for the second time. Life is good.
