Sweet As
I love New Zealand. there are so many damn sheep(12 sheep for every New Zealander- 40 mil sheep). the little lambs are awfully cute. too bad I like to eat them. The entire country is gorgeous going from green hills to craggy shrubbery to ice to tropical paradise. The color of their water is unreal- their national gem is Jade and the color from the Jade and other minerals makes the rivers and ocean this amazing teal and turquoise color.
The highlight of the trip was also the most physically demanding- ice climbing the glacier. We had to hike in these heavy (extremely uncomfortable) plastic boots up really steep terrain and I am wicked out of shape. I nearly fainted towards the end I was so out of breath. ice climbing itself was quite intense, but very rewarding after the day was done.
I have one month of school left. Stephan is here for 3 more days. I booked my flight for the Whitsundays which departs this Thursday. I have no idea if I'll be working an internship this summer with Bank of America and can honestly say I wouldn't be too heartbroken if I wasn't- being cooped up in a cubicle is not really how I want to spend the last summer of my freedom. I actually really enjoy working as a barista and wouldn't mind doing that again...too bad it pays shit for wages.
I'm still in Oz w/ Stephan, Caitlin is working her ass off in Waltham, Bek is in France at the Cannes film festival and Jess is in Kenya saving the world, but soon our little family will be happily reunited in Waltham.
And in addition to family reunions...Lollapalooza, VT, the beach, Medway lovin' and a potential trip to CO and CA...looking forward to some bright sunny days this summer.
I know barely anybody uses LJ anymore(omg its like so totally middle school!)...but whats the deal for everyone else this summer?
