(no subject)
So, my new car was really cool until tonight. I'm so disappointed! It's supposed to get 30-40 mpg. And I drive on the highway a lot so it should be somewhere in the thirties. It's a 13.2 gallon tank so 13.2 x 30 = 396 The gas light just came on so there is about 1.9 gallons left, and I've only driven 295 miles. Divided by the 11.3 gallons I've burned equals 26.1 mpg which is pretty much the same as my old car! Fuck that shit! I hope this is only because of the break-in period.
Additionally, having a new car makes me a totally paranoid driver. I constantly think that people are TRYING to hit me. I've already had two really close calls in less than a week. I don't even have a frickin license plate yet and I've already been nearly T-boned. In my own neighborhood! I even had my frickin headlights on! I bet it was some old white person who shouldn't be driving because they can't fuckin see! I hate IRRESPONSIBLE people. But seriously, you would think my car was invisible or that it has a huge sign on it saying "HI I'M A BRAND SPANKIN NEW CAR WITH AN 8 YR EXTENDED WARRANTY! COME CRASH RIGHT INTO ME!" I hate Houston soooo much!!!!!! I have to get out of here for grad school! I needa go to colorado where it's all peaceful and pretty.
