HARRY FREAKIN' POTTER!!
So after the longest wait I've ever had to endure for a book, tonight at 12:30 I went home a little bit happier and complete in life after purchasing the last of the Harry Potter books. It just makes me so happy to see it and hold it...it's like my new love and baby. I've only read the first chapter, but it's so much darker than the other books. I'm kind of interested to see how she's going to take it.
It was kind of fun waiting around Borders for the book (and the midnight only exclusive poster). There were so many bizarre fans and SO many people there all for this one book. I heard a rumor that JK Rowling is richer than the queen of England and I'm starting to believe it if there was a huge turnout for the last book just at the Bloomington store.
What was also cool about tonight was that I these really nice lesbians gave me their extra poster that they got for buying the book since I wasn't going to be able to get my book at Borders. She slid it between my arms and then walked away with her partner as it fell on the floor beside me. She didn't have to do that at all, and I've never had a stranger do something like that for me...I wish I could have thanked her for it though.
Alright, back to the reading. I can happily say that I am going to bed tonight with Harry Potter. And I plan on being COMPLETELY satisfied :)
