back in Michigan
So I am now back in Michigan for the school year. The summer was totally awesome, but there's no way I can put it all in a post, or even twenty, so I'll just have to tell stories as I see people. But totally awesome.
And the reason for posting today: must tell about the weather! Yep, weather this afternoon/evening has been interesting. We had some insanely fierce rain, with lightning and thunder, and then the tornado siren started going off, so we cut the TA meeting short and ran away. I didn't hear where the tornado or whatever was. I had brought my umbrella, but the rain was so intense that I got soaked to the skin anyway; only my face and right shoulder were dry. We had a lot of problems with streets flooding; as in when I crossed each street I had to go upstream so the water wouldn't be too deep on me. The currents were pretty fast, and one street had water that was a good few inches over my ankles, and this is in the middle of the street, away from the gutters! Fortunately most of the streams were fairly clear, so I could see where I was going. Fun times!
