(no subject)
Wow, I've been away for a while. I got over my cold about two days after I made my last entry. Since then, I've been getting a lot of work dumped on me (and unfortunately it's not the paying kind). Although on that thought I have a job interview with the gas station near my house on Monday, so that's good at least.
Right now I am at my aunt's house, looking after her dog while she's away. And frankly I'm having the worst time of my life. I tried to order pizza for dinner, except the guy from the pizza place couldn't understand what I was saying because my aunt has a crappy phone, so two and a half hours later when I phoned back and asked why my order hadn't shown up yet (and this time I'm calling on my cellphone so I can hear him) he accuses me of prank calling him and that he refuses to deliver the pizza. So I make some Kraft Dinner for supper, except my aunt only has skimmed milk, which didn't react well to the cheese mix and makes something like watery gross cheese soup, which I ate anyway because it was already getting late and there wasn't anything else.
I also brought my mom's laptop computer with me so I can work on my stories and pictures while I'm here. I had to put them on a CD RW though because the laptop's hard drive is tiny. Unfortunately after I save one thing to the CD from the laptop it starts acting all weird and freezing the computer up when it tires to read the CD. So on Sunday when I go home I'll get my mom to look at it. Although I suspect that although the computer itself will be fine I won't be able to get anything off that CD ever again, which really sucks because I wrote a part of my Orion story on it. Luckily, I have all the files before alteration on my computer at home, so I haven't lost the entire story, just about a page or so.
The one thing that is going well is the reason I'm at my aunt's house, as I said already I'm looking after her dog while she's away. And that dog is such a good girl, the one good thing about being here is playing with her.
Don't get the wrong message though, my aunt is a nice person (when she's not pulling practical jokes), and if she were here things would be a lot better. It's just that all the devices in her house are conspiring against me. At least I can still watch TV and use my aunt's computer to go on the internet, even if nothing else works. Well, that's all.
