Through the storm
Good day today. Finished the Purgatorio so now I'm 2/3 of the way through the Divine Comedy. Woo! Go me. I really didn't like this book quite as much as the Inferno, though. This one had a ton of political stuff and really WEIRD astrological and geographical stuff that made me go "errr... what? *Burn head scratch* ". And as a result the explanatory notes at the end of each Canto were REALLY REALLY LONG. Thank goodness the translator has a sense of humour; some of those notes seriously cracked me up. ^^ Wonder how the Paradiso will be... though I guess I'll find out on Monday, har har.
Went to the Promenade with Leann today, which was awesomesauce. We went shopping (not that I bought anything, of course... I refuse to shell out 42 bucks for a single blouse, no matter how cute it is) and got sushi (REAL SUSHI!) and crepes with awesome coffee. Mm. Good stuff. Though now my head hurts. But it was lovely today; it was warm and sunny in the early afternoon and then around 4 it got all cold and cloudy, but the ocean was absolutely beautiful as we were driving back home. I ♥ it here. ♥ ♥ ♥
There is a real purpose to this entry, really there is - I finally finished a mix I made a while back. Well, I put the songs together a few weeks ago and I just made the art now. I actually like it a lot, the art I mean. And the songs. Err. Obviously. Anyway, tracks and coverart and zip is under the cut. Comment, s'il vous plait. Merci. =)
Um. This is not a happy mix. Not really, anyway. There are two sappy songs at the end to kind of ease the angst. But elsewise... not happy, no. I see it as covering the time of the Second War - from HBP, I guess, to what I perceive as maybe happening in the seventh book. *sigh* The images of Harry are from Mugglenet, and the images of Eva Green (as Linne) are from here. No I'm not obsessed with Eva Green. Lighning brushes are from Obsidian Dawn. Now really on to the mix...
