Try and steal this
It's a funny thing, travelling - being in one place, then on the other end (well, sort of) of the state an hour later. Always throws me off, a little. But it's lovely to be home, of course. I love coming back after a while spent at school. Always feels good. For a while, anyway, until cabin fever sets in again. The flight was quick, too, so that was nice. Actually left on time and got to SJ early enough that the parents actually weren't there, shock. Got to wait outside on the curb in the wonderfully chilly air. FINALLY SOME SEASON-APPROPRIATE WEATHER. Though apparently it's pouring back in LA, with a bigbig storm moving in for Thanksgiving. Nice and cool and cloudy up here, with some showers predicted for today. Yay!
Also, realized I am an idiot, because I left my keys at the security checkpoint back at LAX. WITH MY TARDIS! *HEADDESK* Called them as soon as I got home and I'm pretty sure they'll keep them for me until Sunday. They can't throw them away, anyway. Yes, I am v stupid. Argh.
In happier news. Matt's parents were here last weekened to see the show, and that was nice. Millie was also fun, tho the dancers' attempts at the can-can made me laugh. You're doing it wrong. Not nearly enough squealing. ;) Still, fun show. Allegra was all sorts of amazing as Mrs Meers, and Jillian obviously was incredible as Millie. Back here, my parents gave me a v shiny necklace for my birthday - not nearly as shiny as Liz's engagement (!!!!!!!!) ring, but my first diamonds nonetheless, oo! The pendant's a little square that's about the size of the tip of a finger (or would be, if I had bigger hands) with a smaller square of nine tiny square-shaped diamonds inside. More contemporary than what I usually wear, but it's v subtle and lovely. Mr Maxi the jeweler has excellent taste. :)
Going to be a nice break, methinks, in spite of having to start on my paper for Lit Theory - which I should probably do soon, n'est-ce pas? Time to stop being lazy and lounging around in bed and get to work! =P Am also looking forward to going to NOLA in Palo Alto for dinner tonight - mmm, delicious food - and then coming home and watching WALL-E. Heeeeee. Wwwwwwwalleee! XD Gonna be most lovely. Off I go for now - ciao ciao!
