So we're still stuck. Fires are burning fucking everywhere, from here all the way to the sodding Mexican border. The house of a family friend of ours in Temecula burned down. UCSD's under voluntary evac. Shukie called me this morning and said she could see smoke from us on the horizon, so it's not like anything is dying down. And we're still stuck here, feeling useless and trapped and having nothing to do.
I guess it has sort of turned into one big bonding experience, as it were; at least in small chunks. Things could have gone so differently so easily... guh. *shivers* I don't even want to think about it. But yeah, we've all just been chillin' together and being bored as hell. Steph and Dante are watching Heroes, Jeff and Robyn are in Jeff's room doing goodness knows what, and Matt went off to work in the scene shop. Harrumph. Oh, and we just got word that classes will be held tomorrow after all... not that that makes much difference to me, since I don't have class anyway. *sigh* It's just hard to be motivated when it's stickyhot and the sky's all hazy with smoke that's tickling my nose and making me sneeze every few seconds. Blah.
Yesterday Matt and I went to Becca and Jillian's room to watch a film - silly movie, The Goonies. Wasn't paying it all that much attention anyway. ^^; Preoccupied a bit by the grey skies and what we were sipping on. >.> It put me in a much better mood anyway; had been cranky and irritable from the heat and boredom and the stuckness but I felt much better after. Matt and I managed to steal some moments (okay, a lot more than some...) for ourselves which was... quite good. *cough* Taking liberties (or letting liberties be taken) leads to fun on all sides. *snort* Anyway, so that was fun. We took a walk later because I desperately needed some air - we've been keeping all the windows shut so smoke won't blow in, but that makes things awfully stuffy inside, and even drier than outside - which was nice. Was wearing my Hawai'i dress which blew up rather a lot in the bloody winds, but also gave me nice breeze through the light fabric and blew quite nicely against me, heh heh heh. =P But yeah. Changed back into shorts later, since dress isn't the best thing for lounging around in. Came back to the boys' room to find Jeff had Tied the door, so I couldn't get to my computer. Cue - "God damn it. >.< " Was stuck reading instead, which was okay but not quite what I'd wanted to be doing. Eventually Jeff came in and I was like "FINALLY" and he said "Huh?" - "I've been waiting for my computer for ages. Took you long enough." - "Ohh. I wasn't even in my room... I've been at Robyn's for the last 45 minutes, she had duty tonight... I must've forgotten to take it off..." - "...what. did you. just say?" - "I forgot to take the tie off?" - "Jeff. Get out. Before I hit you." And Matt saw the look on my face and went "Seriously dude, run!" and held me back before I could make Jeff bleed. Rrgh. Stupid. We all (me/Matt and Steph/Dante) went to bed after one... and stayed up 'till like 430 playing Truth or Dare. More like Truth or Truth, really, since you can't do dares in the middle of the night in a college dorm room. Aaaahahaha that was fun. Best slumber party evar. ^^; Some of those questions got pretty entertaining. *cackles* Eventually it just degenerated into us testing all our relationships. Aaaaaaahhh lol. I ended up laughing like a hyena for about 15 minutes straight after one of the question/answers. (Which I won't repeat, because it's kinda weird.) But it was hilarious. "You broke my girlfriend!" Matt complained, all wounded. Man oh man. I was in tears from cracking up, seriously. ^.^ Ahh good times.
Anyway, yeah, we're hanging in there. Classes resume tomorrow (><) and I guess they're letting us off campus to go to Ralph's and stuff? o.O Who knows. I'm just glad we're all okay here and that we've been able to stick together. =) Yay for friends. Off I go, then - ciao!
