Lalique's "Eau de Lalique"

Nov 07, 2007 11:03

    Fragrance Notes
  • Top Notes: Mandarin, Cardamom, Citron, Bergamot, Dill
  • Middle Notes: Freesia, Hibiscus, Cinnamon
  • Base Notes: Amyris Wood, Sandalwood, Benzoin, White Musk, Guaiac Wood

My Thoughts: This is such a different smelling fragrance. Eau de Lalique is considered by its creator to be a unisex scent, and I have to agree that it dries down to a less feminine scent. Bright, green, aquatic and crystalline, it's not your typical Chypre. It has a very clean feel to it, and is unusual in its ability to take some very natural notes (Freesia and Hibiscus) and express their combination with a very synthetic feel to it. I enjoy it very much - it's a youthful reincarnation of the Chypre.
