Why would you live in Tasmania? I know nothing about it, so I'm curious.

I visited for a week years ago. It's really beautiful and seems very old-fashioned. I think it's so remote that nobody really wants to develop the hell out of it and thereby spoil it like so many other pretty places. There's a lot of space to be on your own, but when you're in town the people are friendly. Climate is not extreme in summer or winter. It's pretty much ideal for me except the one thing is there's not much work there (also I'd find it very tricky to get a visa)
