Lacking any original subject line material, I decided to lay it straight. Yes, we have no cable TV. I arrived home late on Friday evening after Sami's performance to find the DVR flickering on and off.... It seems that Little One decided to regurgitate INTO the DVR, rendering it DOA. I've been stuck all weekend without cable and it's killing me.

We had a splendid day today... Sami and I took off for the Kings Valley Cemetery and visited the gravesites of the King family, specifically focusing on those upon whom her book project was based. We then took off for Peavy Arboretum here in Corvallis, and walked around in the sun.

We didn't get out of the house until nearly 3PM. The I-5 corridor was sunny and clear, where the mountainous roads to the east were clouded over. Due to weather and monetary concerns (well, mostly, the monetary concerns), we have canceled our Memorial Day trip to Wallowa Lake. I got a partial refund on the campground, so it wasn't a complete wash. But it's pretty sad that I did not have the dough to even pay for gas to and from our destination. The weather improved today, granting me a small opportunity to fire off a few shots of divawolfgirl. Some of the shots were very soft, yet they were not shot with a soft focus filter. I am not sure why this happened, I wonder if removing the lens hood might've caused problems with the sidelight. Others will likely be posted in the next few days as I finish ( Read more... )
