Short Backpacking Trip
I'm looking for a moderate trail recommendation for a one night backpacking trip. I'd like to find a loop or there-and-back (no shuttling) that's not more than a couple hours from Portland. We'd be leaving on a Saturday morning, and I'd need to be back in town in time to quickly wash the campfire smoke out of my hair and get to a wedding by 4:00 on Sunday afternoon.
I'm thinking it'd be cool to find a loop where we could do the majority of the hiking Saturday and have just a short distance left to get back to the car in the morning.
What are your suggestions?
