I already posted this picture on Facebook, but here's a pic of my new KITTENS!
Andy and I got back from our trip to Oklahoma a few days ago, where we unexpectedly became the adoptive parents of these three adorable kitties. See, Andy's aunt Tina had this stray cat she called Bob that lived near her house, and Bob had kittens a few days before Memorial Day. Well, sadly, the day before we got to Oklahoma, one of Tina's dogs got into the garage where Bob and her litter were and killed Bob. Of course, as soon as I heard that, I wanted to take the kittens home with me...and Andy said we definitely could. (Even though we're not allowed to have cats in the apartment...we're hoping to move in two months and hopefully no one will notice before then) Three kittens is definitely going to be a handful, but I couldn't be happier. Oh, and these are their names! The orange one is the only boy, and we named him Hiro after Hiro Nakamura from Heroes. In the middle is Jasmine, whom Andy named after Princess Jasmine from Aladdin. She's turned out to be the sweetest, and she also looks the most like her momma Bob (I actually got to meet Bob the last time we were in Oklahoma, and have one random picture I took of her). The lighter grey kitten is Cupcake, and she got her name because she's the smallest and just adorable, and I love cupcakes. She also cries if she thinks she's alone. It's pretty cute, because then I have to call for her so she can find us, and then once she does she's happy.
Obviously, the kittens were the most exciting part of the trip for me, but we had a lot of fun besides that. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the pool because it was so HOT--our first couple days back here in Wisconsin were almost cold in comparison! One night we (me, Andy, Tina, Andy's brother Jesse and Andy's dad) even ended up all drunk in the pool with our clothes on, which was definitely the most fun night. Andy and I went to the Wildlife Refuge again to see the prairie dogs, and some of them got so close to us we thought they were going to try to eat us! (It turns out people feed them, which I was a little sad about, to be honest, even though I was happy to get pictures up close with the cute little prairie dogs) And we were there for the Fourth, too, when I found that it's actually possible to get tired of watching fireworks. Tina's place is in the middle of nowhere, and she threw a big Fourth of July party. Everybody brought tons of fireworks, and there was easily several thousand dollars worth of them shot off that night. It was crazy.
Andy and I also got our wedding bands. Tina told Andy she'd be honored if he wanted to wear his uncle's wedding band, so that's what he's going to do. And Tina has a friend who works at Zale's who gives her awesome deals on jewelry, so she took us there and I picked out a gorgeous wedding band for myself. I still have so much wedding planning that I need to really get working on, though. I haven't even gone dress shopping yet!
Well, here's one more picture of my babies passed out a few minutes ago:

But now they're all wide awake and want to play, so I should be a good momma and give them attention. :)
