Birthday, and fun stuff
I turn 28 today. Kind of an odd milestone - I don't feel my age at all. In fact, some of the people I talk to have been surprised when I've told them my age - most assume I'm about 24-25, I think.
I've found that many in my age group whom I talk to are fairly boring (with some very notable exceptions) - I get on better with younger and more dynamic people as they still have interesting stuff to talk about and haven't yet been consumed by the grind of the wheels of life. Hell, I'm requalifying at uni next year. I'll be 29½ when I graduate.
And for some fun goodness - apparently the BBC's News24 crew mistook a Congolese taxi-driver and would be IT job applicant for their regular IT expert, and put him on air. Amazingly, he handled the situation with calmness and dignity (and only the occasional deer-in-headlights look). Personally I hope he gets whatever job he was applying for.
