I did indeed. Hence Fred as in "it's either Romana or Fred", Koschei as in the Master before he was called the Master (It suits him, I think - I shall laugh if his hatchling turns out to be female), and Zagreus as in the scarily brilliant Eight Doctor audio.

Yates/Benton, sure-- but I'm too convinced that the Brig is having it off with a different woman every week to see him bedding down with his subordinates. Watch him when he meets Liz Shaw for the first time. He's undressing her with his eyes, and she knows it.
Yates and Benton would work beautifully under Norrington's command, however. Gillette and Groves would ensure that they adapted painlessly to the culture. ^^
