"Ianto Jones," the Doctor exclaims, the first time they meet face to face. "Jack's Ianto. The Ianto of my Jack." He seems delighted.
Ianto dumps a cup of coffee over him.
There is a pause, in which the Doctor drips at Ianto in coffee-drenched astonishment.
Ianto takes the time to assess his actions of the past few seconds and concludes that pouring coffee on people he’s just met does not constitute appropriate behaviour, jealous that his boyfriend adores them or otherwise.
He can hardly blame Jack for adoring him, either. The Doctor is adorable.
Especially when covered with coffee.
So...
"It's a traditional Welsh greeting," he explains, gesturing with the empty coffee cup. "It means I'm happy to see you."
The Doctor gives him a look of pure suspicion, then beams, sunburst bright. "Ianto Jones," he says again, visibly savouring the words. "I believe I am going to like you."
