[Locked to Byakuran, Shouichi]

Jun 03, 2008 13:11

*It's already evening, and Isaak's immense lab is completely empty, but he isn't too perturbed, as he lights a clove and brings it to his lips, taking a long, slow drag, looking out the window.

Just another day of business.*

[There's a confidence to Byakuran's step that can't be denied. Even with Shouichi's words still fresh on the network, it would be hard to tell that the mafia boss had any precautions on his mind beyond his slightly dressed down appearance. White Spell's uniform was truly too recognizable to wear to such a meeting.

He slows as he reaches their destination, hands resting in his pockets at a lazy angle as he tilts his head to the side, making certain Shouichi is still in line.]

*He follows, as always, a point and a step behind. He's a little more careful, bright green eyes observing their surroundings before he glances back at Byakuran. He'd decided to wear a simple collared black shirt, though the jeans stayed.

Well then, this was quiet.*

*He snaps his fingers, and the large doors slide open. Still dressed impeccable in a tailor-made mourning suit, he nods to them, slipping into the German accent he tends to use from time to time*

Guten abend, gentlemen.

[Byakuran has to smile at the style and grace which with he's been greeted. The City's villains knew how to craft the world to their whims, not dissimilar to the families that had dominated the landscape of Italy before Byakuran had made his mark.

He applauds softly, returning in heavily accented voice.]

Guten abend, Isaak-kun.

*Shouichi's response was a polite nod, even as he surveys the empty area. He's mildly unsettled, although it doesn't escape his notice that Byakuran seems to be extremely comfortable with it. Then again, when wasn't he?*

*A faint bow, a mark of respect, and Isaak surveys the both of them briefly before he continues, his voice soft and cultured*

Unfortunately, most of my creatures are somewhat...graceless when it comes to dealing with prey. But perhaps a demonstration or two, first, to see if it would suit your taste.

[Byakuran hums a thin note of interest.]

A sampling of their abilities would, indeed, be well appreciated.

*Isaak simply smiles, before whistling. Shortly, a faceless maid pushes a box in, containing three large, ferocious dogs.

He gestures for her to release them, and they snap from enclosure as soon as it was opened, bounding towards the end of the large room. A minute, two, and there are distressed squeals and whispers and loud, bestial growls. Flesh can be seen torn from from the dogs, and blood and organs spatter on the white walls, far from them.

Soon enough, the creature shimmers into being; oversized, bloodthirsty wolf-beast that tore into those dogs as if they were mice.

He doesn't bat an eye when the creature turns on the maid after the dogs stop moving, large claws tearing into her as if she was nothing more than a rag doll*

[Byakuran stills, his eyelids lowering in appreciation as he watches the beast in motion.]

*Shouichi, however, does not quite share the same appreciation. Yes, he understands the mechanics of it, the way the creature moved, and the fact that it came into being by some kind of allowance that left him curious. But the sheer brutality of it, the carnality and gore almost made him sick. He can smell the blood, much like the first time he ever killed a man, and he tenses, fingers digging into his palms*

It's a pity, really; *the Magician comments, as if he was talking about something as banal as the weather* these creatures shed their invisibility as soon as their bloodthirst is triggered.

However... *he takes steps forward even as the beast drags over the tattered, bloodless remains of the faceless maids, his palm glowing slightly. The beast stops, tilts its head in Isaak's direction, and bounds over to him, tamed and melting back into what seemed like nothing. His fingers curve elegantly over what would be its muzzle before he releases it, smiling pleasantly* ...They're very convenient to have around. Exceedingly silent, as well.

[Byakuran glances at Shouichi almost belatedly, as if he doesn't want to miss a second of the Magician's pets. They're intriguing to him in their ferocity, a step further up in power than what the boxes offer to them.

He turns his attention back to Isaak with a smile.]

Your creatures are quite something, Herr.

If they have found favor with you, I can spare six; they will be under your instruction.

*He taps on a wall, letting it slide open to reveal a large glass panel, revealing a group of stragglers that he himself had brought in. Tramps, beggars, and such. They notice nothing, of course, for on their end, the glass serves as a perpetual mirror. They had obviously been in there for a while, and he presses a button, letting the sounds be heard*

Of course, there is also another breed that you may fancy.

*Disgusting, Shouichi thinks, even as he watched with a kind of terrible fascination. Nothing good would come out of this, even as he eyes the people within the enclosure, held like they were nothing more than animals. Was this really necessary?*

Your generosity is appreciated.

[Byakuran's nothing short of entranced by this fresh amusement. His smile grows, tinted in cruelty.]

Oh? What other pets do you have, Herr?

*He gestures to the enclosure, where a black, tarlike pool of substance was beginning to grow in the middle of them. Taking a long, slow drag of his cigar, he murmurs*

Kuntsliche Swerg, or rather, shadow demons. *He explains, as tar-like, noxious looking demons who look like twisted dolls emerged from the pool, large jaws revealing extended teeth. Isaak acknowledged the terror, the choked cries of the stragglers with a calm indifference, even as he glances back at Byakuran*

They're almost always too famished for their own good.
