Cool Weirdness.
So yesterday I asked my Dad what he was getting Lauren for Christmas. He gave me this look and said, "Oh yeah...You have to help me with that tomorrow."
Today after she left on some errands, we went to an antique jewelry store and he showed me the engagement ring he liked the best. And after very little debate on the subject, I must say that his taste should be commended. He chose a platinum band without being told! And on Friday, the winter solstice, I will observe my father propose to his girlfriend on the top of the Empire State Building and win myself an awesome soon-to-be stepmother.
I am so incredibly happy and proud of him for this. Although it will be strange to see him marry someone else besides my mom, and especially since I foresee myself being the maid of honor at my dad's own wedding! Odd. But awesome.
Keeping this secret is killing me.
I need a boyfriend as cool as my dad.
