This was another vivid, tightly written chapter. The entire running for their lives scene was wildly entertaining, and I loved the detail of all the speeding tickets the police give out. I guess they have to earn their salaries somehow!
That mojo whammying Willow in the moving vehicle could have been a disaster but it was delightful to have her back, sanity in place. Xander stashing the others at the hotel made perfect sense, and I love that he felt the urgent need to get back to his vampire's side. His response to Spike's worried “Anyone got a phone?” put a smile on my face and Spike's “Killed a god today, luv.” he reminded Xander, just in case he’d forgotten in the last five minutes. “Fancy a shag?” made it even wider. I also cracked up at Spike taking all the credit for taking Glory down. He's such a cocky little vampire, it's hysterical.
Spike and Ethan sitting on the sidelines, pretending to be cynical badasses but really basking in the love and affection of their significant others was absolutely delightful. Spike's last thought tells the real tale. It's wonderful.

Spike wouldn't be Spike without the absolute self-confidence and complete arrogance. So wonderful he can pull it off the way he does. *g*
*beams* so glad you liked that last bit with Ethan and Spike. I really enjoyed writing it, they just seemed so similar all of a sudden.
