Why the awesomeness of 2009 totally outweighed the drama and some other horrible things that happened :)
• Saw Spamalot, my first Broadway show ever with the two loves of my life: Ryan Paulette and Clay Aiken HAHAHAHA
• Traveled with the VCU basketball team to dance at the NCAA Tournament in Philly with some of my fellow Gold Rush Dancers :)
• Attended the NYCDA workshops and learned dances from the most acclaimed choreographers!
• Had the best time at iD Tech with the most epically amazing staff and campers
• Went to the beach for the first time in 9yrs :p
• Celebrated two wonderful years with Ryan Paulette <3
• Danced at a Redskins game
• Danced at a Wizards game!
• Took part in many big design projects (Winterfood, SOVA website, Pay Day dialogue)
• Rekindled my love and passion for web design :D
• Rekindled old friendships
• Met new people
• Worked with new people
• Discovered the horrors of working in retail! Haha
• Saw Ragtime-simply the most beautiful show out on Broadway (go see it if you have not done so already before it closes on Jan. 10), went backstage, and met some of the talented cast and crew!
• Gained new perspectives
• Given a conditional offer of employment to be a web designer for the government. In other words, the possibility of doing something I'm passionate about at an awesome job, all in about a year!
And on that note, here are the things I'm looking forward to in 2010:
• Hope that my background check and polygraph test are a go and I get that design job!
• WICKED!!!!
• Lost season 6/my life ending as I know it haha
• The CAA conference games. Let's go Rams!
• Graduating!!!
• Crying a lot haha
• Toy Story 3 (come on, who isn't excited about that?)
• The possibility of traveling to China and interning for the producer of Hero and House of Flying Daggers (aawww yeah! Thanks Mom!)
• The possibility of traveling to China. Period.
• Harry Potter and the Death Hallows movie... Part I. Keep an eye out for the REAL Chang at your local movie theater ;) Haha
2009 was great! Now here's to 2010... bring it on, baby!
