[ Turning around, he leaps a few steps back when he sees how close the other is, drawing his sword immediately. He isn't known as the swift runner for nothing, his movements are practically wind-like for him being a human.]

We finally meet.

[ He glares, looking ready. ]

Tell me, what is it you hope to accomplish by extending this misery, father of Vampire Hunter D?

I am not required to explain my actions and motives to you.

[Dracula smiles, revealing the long curve of fangs.]

Are you still certain you want to go through with this? Even D could not survive a battle with me if I did not allow it, despite the restrictions this place has put upon my powers. I believe our last encounter left him with a nice bit of brain damage, it the sound of his skull cracking is any indication. Of course, I've learned that people tend not to stay dead here, but there are ways to make life worse than death.

[Though he will never admit it, Dracula is giving Ranmaru this one last chance to back down, out of respect for Mina's wishes that he calm the violent instincts that still call to him.]

[ He isn't a fool, however. He isn't going to rush into a battle he cannot win and has no chance of doing so. And he doesn't doubt that this may be a stronger challenge than he can take, even if he has nothing to lose. ]

A life here is already a cursed one, Father of the Vampire Hunter. But you will find that I am quite adept at battling those of your kind, ever since arriving here.

However, being so that it would be foolish to challenge you when even your son suffers, what exactly will curb these violent tendencies of yours without blood being shed?

[Dracula laughs and leans back against a wall, crossing his arms over his chest in a very D-like pose.]

Certainly not you. What will curb these violent tendencies of mine is beyond your reach, for you are neither a woman whose opinion I care about, nor the instrument of my true death.

[ At this point, the only thing he thinks is how despite how almighty and powerful these inhuman creatures are, they can never truly tell something so obvious. He sighs and raises his sword in challenge again, eyes narrowing. ]

That is where your first mistake is, Sir. You underestimate one who battles to protect the light.

[ His eyes narrow. ]

This body has never been a woman's, nor will it ever be. For someone as powerful as you say, you certainly are not observant.

[ooc; Yes, he's just human but his stamina's liekwhooooa. XD He isn't going to back down until he's managed to cause damage, so quick! How much will he be able to do, considering he -is- pretty much of the element that can go against vampires?]

I never presumed that it was. Do you think I cannot tell the difference? Even if you chose to dress as a woman, the smell would give you away.

[Dracula straightens and steps away from the wall, his cloak falling about him like a rippling shadow as he flexes clawed fingers.]

Since it appears you insist upon continuing this farce, I will oblige you just this once.

[He can stab Dracula all he likes, but too many wounds will infuriate Dracula to the point of actually killing him (he still regenerates very quickly unless silver or a stake becomes lodged in his body). He currently has enough control to leave Ranmaru alive. How much damage do you want Ranmaru to take and of what sort? Sadly, I have to run for an hour or two.]

[ A small smile plays on the corners of the page's mouth, his eyes watching the older opponent with the eyes of a predator. He's been in enough battles to know never to underestimate who he goes against. ]

[ooc; Oh boy. The core of Ranmaru's sword is silver. *dies* And oh, enough damage, feel free to break an arm or hand or crack his ribs. It'll be cool if we can end the match in a tie! And I'll be here then. ^^ ]

[Dracula laughs again at Ranmaru's bold statement. This could prove to be entertaining. He decides that perhaps he should have a little fun with this one, and allows his form to dissolve into formless shadows that soon coalesce into the body of a large wolf with crimson eyes and thick, black fur. The vampire growls a warning, and then leaps for Ranmaru's throat.]

[OOC: That'll help, though silver is most effective if it stays lodged inside of him, preferably in direct contact with flesh. He is subject to Pride, Envy, Wrath and Lust right now, so one of those could make him sloppy enough to be his undoing. I foresee a very annoyed vampire. *G*]

[ His eyes widen in surprise, but not a moment too late. As the creature lunges for him, he leaps back, long jumps to get out of it's way and at first, using the back of his lade to push him back with a swing. The sword he has is as long as him, which gives him enough space to strike out without falling into the range of attack. He's fast- swift- all those words and most importantly, he's unafraid. ]
