A dramatist, novelist AND a poet, my you're skilled! Beckett was wonderful, as Joyce's bitch he was humble but in pitting himself against the great Irish master he inverts all of Joyce's accomplishments. Joyce had tried to include everything, Beckett's primary concern was minimalist. Despite not having the best grip of the French language he chose to write in French so as to write without style. A back to basics approach such as this reveals Beckett's profound genius and ability to usurp and invert even the most concrete of traditions.
Like Beckett, perhaps you too live in the shadow of genius but in grappling with this omni-presence you create something new, inspirational and brilliant.
