I'm starting to wonder if there is something I'm doing which ensures that none of my plans really work out, big or small.
Pick a date for something, and people will inevitably decide to do something else on that date, however in advance I plan it. Plan to just get to the store, grab some soymilk, and get back to the apartment in time (read: go to store 2 hours in advance) for people to start arriving for Swimfest@Xia's (I have a lap pool at my complex--2, actually--and apparently nobody else has one at their complex), and not only will you get trapped in the store by zombie hordes of Asians after free food samples, but parking will be ridiculous and you will have a spot you waited for with the blinker on stolen twice (one of which had the nerve to honk at me right as he was stealing my spot, the bastard).
Seriously, things just aren't ever working out, and I don't know what I am doing wrong :( It's also starting to get downright annoying, as if planning really doesn't matter (which may explain why I rarely care to make significant plans). At this rate, everything I am trying to see/do is going to be closed/done/moved away before I get a chance to get people to go see it with me, because most of these are group things (hence the apparent need for planning, even if planning appears not to have any effect). I'm getting tired of telling myself "next year" or "next time."
Clearly, the solution is to simply stop being interested in anything that requires people >:(
