Andrew Boysen is the man...I've learned so much from him in 5 weeks of independent study conducting. It makes me realize only stronger that I'm supposed to be a choral conductor.
So the fight for the orchestra job begins...Eshbach stepping down...Kempster wants it...Boyen wants it...who will get it? Both are probably equally qualified, Kempster is a string player however. It ought to be interesting to see how this one unfolds. Oh to be a fly on the wall at that faculty meeting.
Of course, there's the pretty good possibility that they will bring in someone from outside. That would be cool too.
